Worship
Worship at Gordon Head United
Church is Sundays at 10:00 am and everyone is welcome. There are also
special services throughout the year marking different occasions of the
Church calendar.
Worship
at Gordon Head seeks to be multi-textured as we lift up our praises of
God through the Spirit. Our worship style tends to be diverse, ranging
from traditional to modern. While we like to sing the traditional hymns
of the faith, we also enjoy experimenting with new forms of music.
There is a great deal of youth and lay leadership during Sunday
morning.
Important
in worship is that there be a connection between our spirituality and
our lives in the world. A number of services look at our participation
in the world. This past year, these social justice services have
focused on the scarcity of water, the removal of landmines,
our response to homelessness in our
committee.
In
overall style, we tend to be casual in dress and welcome many different
visitors and guests from the community to join with us in worship.
Communion
Services are the first Sundays of March, June, October and December.
There are additional communion services throughout the church year
